Sound in Space – Slime Moulds and Mountain Harp

Sound in Space – Slime Moulds and Mountain Harp

Sunday, 16 August 2026
1pm and 3pm
Ticket Price: $30

Slime Moulds & Mountain Harp will immerse you in a spectacular musical and visual experience of mysterious and beautiful creatures and creations. The planetarium dome will feature Sarah Lloyd’s exquisite macro-and micro-photography of Tasmanian slime moulds in all their remarkable life stages as the music emerges from the extensive colours and effects of Garry Greenwood’s elegant 18-string Tasmanian Mountain Harp. Alien-like, but actually Tasmanian home-grown.

Karlin Love and Suzy Turner will play the Mountain Harp and compatible instruments such as electric violin, clarinet, and gongs.

2 session times per performance at 1-2pm / 3-4pm. $30 per ticket (no concessions).
