Pride in Arts: Solidarity

Queer Artists Collective

Saturday 18 October – Sunday 7 December 2025

Pride in Arts: Solidarity gathers a collection of artworks from queer and queer ally artists, musicians, and poets from across Tasmania. This exhibition aims to share communal stories for all people to practice staying open to hearing from multiple voices, which helps us all to grow. Creating art helps us express ourselves and explore our relationships with identities and with the worlds inside and around us. Sharing art in safe places can help queer and queer ally people connect, grow confident in taking up space, and find a sense of belonging.

LGBTIQA+ human rights are hard won and, as the world shows us, not to be taken for granted. Solidarity comes in many forms and may not always be seen until it is needed. Great and improbable things can happen when people stick together. We all need allies.

Members of the Queer Artists Collective have remained connected over the past five years because those that are queer, and queer allies, keep each other safe and lift each other up in what is a sometimes difficult world.

This exhibition is proud to encourage and showcase the LGBTIQA+ and ally community.
