Kit Hiller will speak in the Hive Art Gallery about the ups and downs she has experienced across the breadth of her artistic career.

The life of an artist is, by choice, often an isolated one.

To have the time to paint, a lot of everyday activities fall by the wayside.

For one afternoon only, Kit Hiller will speak in the Hive Art Gallery about the ups and downs she has experienced across the breadth of her long and storied artistic career with special reference to the works on display in Kit, her incredible survey exhibition currently on display at Hive.

About the artist

Kit Hiller is a highly acclaimed artist who has displayed over 30 solo exhibitions since 1982, been shown in the Archibald Prize on five occasions, and won the Portia Geach Memorial Award for Australian female portraitists three times. Her works are held by numerous public galleries across Tasmania and Australia, and by private collectors in New Zealand, the UK, the USA, Chile, Japan, Norway, the Netherlands, Italy and Canada.
