As part of Paper on Skin’s community workshop series this year, lead tutor Stephanie Reynolds will be joined by local artist, dancer and cultural practitioner Karen Smart.
Karen will work with participants to create unique items informed by her cultural heritage and creative practice.
These sessions are collaborative, accessible and fun. No prior experience is required – all are welcome!
There is a cafe on site open until 2pm, making it the perfect time to meet up with a friend for a coffee and crafting.
During the workshop, paper creations will be made to decorate the foyer of the paranaple arts centre for the Paper on Skin™ gala on the 3rd October.
The items Karen will be demonstrating will form part of the Welcome Ceremony to be held at Up-Close Showcase at Basalt (The Cove) on the 4th October.
This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Festivals Australia program.
