Summer Holidays

2026 brings more curiosity and fun for Hive’s Summer Holiday program. This is the biggest holiday program of the calendar year with extra Planetarium shows starting from Monday January 5^th Including all ages shows, Mon – Sat at 11am! The activity and workshop program starts from 10^th January with a special Insect Pinning workshop presented by QVMAG curator, Dr Alfonsina Arriaga Jiménez. Hive’s Scientist in Residence, Sam Verne joins the program throughout January talking all things physics with daily activities and presentations. Eloise Kirk, exhibiting artist in Parallel Practice, presents art camp a weekend of artistic expression beginning in clay sculpture. Science and Wonders return with Hive’s favourite workshop, Slippery Slime presented by Colin Lawrence!
