Magic Magnets Workshop

Through hands-on activities children will have a chance to explore the world of magnets! See how magnets interact with different materials and each other and how magnets are used. Children will use different strength magnets and observe their effect on a compass and various metals. They will also build a simple electromagnet!

This workshop is being presented by Colin Lawrence from Science and Wonders and will take place at Hive’s Studio One.

Suitable for participants aged 5 – 12

Participants must be at Hive by the designated start time.

Accompanying adults are required to attend for primary school aged children and are welcome to participate in the activity.

Accompanying adults do not require an additional ticket.

Please check in at Hive Visitor Services on arrival.

Participants and supporting adults must follow Hive Conditions of entry

Workshop participants enjoy Hive Access (levels 1 & 2) included with the workshop ticket. To be validated at the front desk.

Activity participants will require Hive Access tickets (purchased separately) to access levels 1 & 2.
