DESCRIPTION:Saturday 20 June1:00 pm\nContinue the conversation with a special Men’s Health Week panel discussion exploring men’s health\, wellbeing and connection. \nFollowing the Men with Heart artist talk\, photographer Paul Hoelen will be joined by a panel of guest speakers to share perspectives\, experiences and practical approaches to supporting men’s health in our communities. \nPanel Speakers \nPaul Hoelen – Photographer and co-creator of Men with Heart\nChris Dutton – Mental Health Advisor\, Beyond Blue\nShannan Maciejewski – Community Engagement Coordinator\, Medicare Mental Health Centres\nLeigh Smith – JCP Youth Team Worker \nInspired by the themes of the Men with Heart exhibition\, the discussion will explore connection\, vulnerability\, belonging and the changing conversation around masculinity. Together\, the panel will consider how communities can support men’s wellbeing and help address the poorer health outcomes often experienced by men who become isolated. \nThis free event welcomes people of all ages and genders. DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, 17 May 2026\n1pm and 3pm\nTicket Price: $30\nAPRA–Australian Art Music Award winners for Papercuts (2023)\, Alluvium bring their immersive sound to Sounds in Space 2026. \nFeaturing internationally renowned guitarist Aaron Hopper and Tasmanian electronic producer Paul Corfiatis\, the duo blend experimental guitar\, electronics and field recordings to create truly unique soundscapes. \nTheir performance will feature music from their latest album Heavenly — a sonic exploration of the universe — accompanied by stunning cosmic animations. \n✨ An extraordinary fusion of sound\, industry and the cosmos. \n2 session times per performance at 1-2pm / 3-4pm. $30 per ticket (no concessions). \nSound in Space T&C’s  \n\nRecommended for 16 and over\, lower age limit 5+\nLimited seating includes accessible seating for up to 3 wheelchairs (please call to reserve specialty seating).\nA Sound in Space ticket includes general access to Hive’s Art Gallery\, Museum and Science Centre. SUMMARY:Tzim Tzum + Phantom of the Universe
DESCRIPTION:Tzim Tzum \nA short presentation of artwork and music by Darryl Rogers and Ian Chia\, produced especially for the Ulverstone Planetarium dome. Tzim Tzum is part of the set of works titled Spinland. \nPhantom of the Universe \nThe Hunt for Dark Matter is a fascinating exploration of dark matter\, from the Big Bang to its anticipated discovery at the Large Hadron Collider. Narrated by Tilda Swinton\, this amazing story reveals the first hints of its existence. It describes the astral choreography witnessed by Vera Rubin in the Andromeda galaxy and then plummets deep underground to see the most sensitive dark matter detector on Earth\, housed in a former gold mine. From there\, it journeys across space and time to the Large Hadron Collider at CERN\, speeding alongside particles before they collide in visually stunning explosions of light and sound. \nPLEASE NOTE: Our Planetarium program is for ages 5+\, however\, this show is better suited to an older audience\, upper primary and above. \nPlanetarium terms and conditions \n• Please arrive at Hive at least fifteen minutes before the start of the show.\n• All ticket holders are required to check in at Hive Visitor Services on the ground floor before making their way throughout the building.\n• Tickets can be purchased at Hive Visitor Services on the ground floor if seats are still available.\n• Shows start promptly on the hour\, and unfortunately latecomers cannot be admitted once the doors have been closed.\n• Visitors who leave the Planetarium during the show cannot be re-admitted.
