In the electricity show we get to explore how tesla coils work and some of the cool things you can do with them\, exploring the way electric fields impact the world around us. \nThis presentation takes place in the Ulverstone Planetarium at Hive. \nPlanetarium terms and conditions \n• Please arrive at Hive at least fifteen minutes before the start of the show.\n• All ticket holders are required to check in at Hive Visitor Services on the ground floor before making their way throughout the building.\n• Tickets can be purchased at Hive Visitor Services on the ground floor if seats are still available.\n• Shows start promptly on the hour\, and unfortunately latecomers cannot be admitted once the doors have been closed.\n• Visitors who leave the Planetarium during the show cannot be re-admitted \nPlease note: This program is recommended for participants aged 5+\, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by their parents

SUMMARY:POSTCODE: Activity at Hive
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun and creative POSTCODE workshop at Hive!  \nMake a Pin Badge. You receive all the components and use a badge making machine to create your own badge. Make a collage design or try out a typewriter to create your own slogan for the future  \nLed by facilitator Chris Mead\, this hands-on session invites participants to explore imaginative ways of sending messages and staying connected. Through writing\, drawing\, and playful activities\, we’ll think about how we communicate — and how slowing down might change the way we share with each other. No art experience needed — just bring your ideas\, imagination\, and curiosity! All materials are provided.  \nWho: Open to all ages (a caregiver must attend with participants aged 16 years and under\, caregivers are encouraged to join in the fun) \nWhen: 1pm\, Sunday 12 October 2025\, 10:30am & 1pm Sunday 26 October 2025\nWhere: Hive\, 50 Main Street\, Ulverstone TAS 7315\nDuration: 1.5 hour\nCost: Hive Access Prices (please register both child and caregiver\, ticket includes Hive Access)  \nThis workshop contributes to the larger POSTCODE project and exhibition. Everyone who participates will have the opportunity to submit what they create to be included in the exhibition.  \nAbout POSTCODE\n POSTCODE is a creative project about how we connect with each other. In a world of constant notifications and pressure to stay online\, POSTCODE asks: what happens if we slow down? What do we really want to say\, and how do we want to say it? As we head into 2026\, what are your hopes\, reflections\, or questions?  \nFind out more about the project: contemporaryarttasmania.org/programs/postcode
